Dino Needs a Name!

The Just4Kids festival is happening next year in July in Whangamata and it looks fabulous! A festival Just for Kids?? I wonder when the adults festival one will happen?? :)

As part of this they have a dino character who is helping them out as the official mascot. Problem is that he doesn't have a name - poor thing! So head along to the website here and enter in the competition to give him a name.

The Jabberwocky! By E.B

This week we have been doing tasks and trying to memorise this poem.
Here it is it is called "The Jabberwocky".

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves,
did grye and grimble in the wabe,
all mimsy were the borogroves,
and mome raths outgrabe.

Beware the Jabberwock my son,
the jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jub-Jub bird and shun,
the fruious bandersnatch!

He took his vorpal soward in hand,
Long the manxome foe he sought-
so rested he by the tum-tum tree
and stood a while in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock with eyes of flame,
came whiffling through the tugley wood,
and burbled as it came!

One Two! One Two! and through and through,
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead and with its head,
He went galumphing back!

And has thou slain the jabberwock?
Come to my arms my bemish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
He chorteld in his joy.

Twas brillig in the slithy toves,
did grye and grimble in the wabe,
all mimsy were the borogroves,
and mome raths outgrabe......
